The Witham are offering our local community and visitors the chance to enjoy a festival gig with Sheelanagig, on Friday 31 August from 8pm and pay nothing until after the gig, when you will be invited to put what you think it’s worth.
Sheelanagig for over a decade have brought their array of foot-stomping folk tunes to audiences across the globe. A quintet with a well-stocked armoury of stringed instruments – guitar, fiddle, double bass – added with the rhythmic energy of flute and drums and a bagful of joint-jumping tunes, these boys from the South-West England create a real dynamic which is inherent in both their furious dance medleys as well as their interestingly arranged original pieces.
Please note, this is a standing gig so the bar remains open throughout and you chance to enjoy live music without having to buy a ticket. To help people access live music, The Witham are not selling tickets for this event but asking people to reserve a place and then pay whatever they feel the experience is worth following the gig. All that’s required is for you to reserve your place through the contact details below.
