Where will you find The Witham?

You’ll find us in the middle of the main street of Barnard Castle. Our address is The Witham, 3 Horse Market, Barnard Castle, County Durham, DL12 8LY. Access through the front is from Horse Market itself and through the rear via the bottom end of Morrison’s car park. Wheelchair access is simplest from the back of the building.

How we are ensuring that The Witham is COVID-19 secure.

The Witham is a community arts centre in the heart of Barnard Castle, the capital of Teesdale. Our programme is steadily growing as we come out of lockdown. There is something for everyone – music, dance, film, theatre, screenings, comedy, art and spoken word. View our What’s On listing to keep up-to-date with our latest events. Both our CaféBar and Shop have reopened with necessary measurements in place to ensure we offer a Covid-secure environment. You can sit inside our café or overflow into the light and airy Gallery at the front of our building. We also have tables outside in our garden.

Our current opening hours are Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am to 4pm.
